The Competition
A unique opportunity for pianists of all ages: from children taking their first steps on the keyboard, to professional performers. The competition celebrates the legacy of Maria Teresa Agnesi, a pioneer of female culture and music, with the aim of enhancing talent, passion and interpretative depth. Sections dedicated to piano initiation, categories divided by age and a section dedicated to piano interpretation, offer each candidate a real opportunity for musical and artistic growth. It is not just a competition, but an educational and inspiring experience, where each participant is encouraged to express their voice through the piano. Prizes, concerts, scholarships and an international jury of excellence await you.
The Jury
The Agnesi International Piano Competition has a prestigious international jury that includes eminent figures from the European music scene and top-level teachers who will offer an expert, sensitive and up-to-date look at the art of piano playing.
Special attention will be given to the section for the youngest, evaluated by a specific jury composed of teachers specialized in children’s piano teaching, with years of experience in accompanying the first musical steps of young pianists.
A stimulating and highly formative environment, where each participant will feel listened to, welcomed and encouraged to give their best.
The Regulations
The regulations of the Agnesi International Piano Competition are designed to ensure clarity, fairness and valorization of talent in every phase of the competition. The categories are divided by age group and level of preparation, offering each participant the opportunity to express themselves in a way that is consistent with their musical path.
The tests will take place in person at Villa Borromeo in Arcore, in a welcoming and inspiring environment, and will be evaluated by a highly qualified jury.
There are sections dedicated to children taking their first steps on the piano, to young students, up to professionals in piano interpretation.

The Agnesi nel mondo map illustrates the international dimension of the Agnesi International Competition, which since its first edition has attracted participants not only from all over Italy, but also from geographically distant countries, representing diverse musical cultures.
This international participation reflects a clear vision: to promote talent without borders and foster dialogue between different traditions, schools, and artistic sensibilities. The Agnesi International Competition was founded with the intention of growing over time, increasingly developing internationally, and establishing itself as a meeting place and a hub of excellence for young musicians and composers.

Organizers
Cristina Rampini and Manuel Gervasoniโs long experience in the world of teaching and the desire to valorize historical figures of music have led to the birth of the Agnesi International Music Competition. The competition celebrates Maria Teresa Agnesi, one of the first important female composers of the 18th century, giving space to new talents and promoting musical excellence while respecting her artistic and cultural heritage.
