Agnesi

International Music Competition

Kids

We created the Kids Section of the Agnesi International Piano Competition because we felt the need for a space truly dedicated to young pianists, where music could be experienced as a game, an adventure, a shared emotion. In Italy there was no competition that focused on children aged 4 to 11 with so much care, attention and magic. We wanted a place where even those who have just started playing could experience the excitement of the stage without anxiety or fear, but with joy, pride and lightness. For this reason we thought of a special day in an enchanted setting: Villa Borromeo dโ€™Adda in Arcore, with its gardens and its period rooms, is the ideal place to transform a performance into an indelible memory. The categories are divided by age and have fairy-tale names, to stimulate fantasy and belonging: Gnomes, Wizards, Princesses, Heroes. Each child can play one or more free pieces, even with the score in front of them. No memory obligation, no technical pressure. A jury of teachers experienced in early childhood education will evaluate the performances with sensitivity, rewarding not only the execution but also the commitment, expressiveness and courage.

The awards are designed to make each participant shine: emotional, creative, stylistic, poetic prizes. Each little pianist will receive an illustrated diploma, a colored medal, a musical gift and the โ€œLittle Pianist Passportโ€, stamped with the date, title of the piece and signature of the jury. Teachers are also protagonists, with prizes designed to enhance their dedication and imagination in the educational proposal. The competition also rewards inclusion, enthusiasm and diversity. No child will be judged, but everyone will be encouraged to continue playing and dreaming. Agnesi Kids is more than an event: it is a celebration of music, growth and first courage. It is a place where the heart comes before technique, and every note becomes a small milestone to celebrate.
